Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, the entry-level Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 reaches 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and posts an average fuel consumption rating of under 10.0 litres per 100 kilometres thanks to an efficient 9-speed automatic gearbox. This makes the GLE stand out in terms of performance, yes, but also efficiency. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE can also tow up to 3,500 kilos.
The GLE 450 offers 362 horsepower while the GLE 53 and 63 AMG trims deliver 429 and 603 horsepower respectively. Both the AMG versions deliver impressive sound to go with their high performance numbers, and their sharp handling will have you forgetting that you are in fact in an SUV. Capable of reaching 100 km/h in under 4.0 seconds, the GLE 63 is breathtaking in every respect.
