Everything you want to know about the new Mercedes-AMG EQE

Introduced to the market earlier this month, the all-new Mercedes-AMG EQE is the latest electric sedan from Mercedes-Benz. However, you will have noticed that it is actually built by Mercedes-AMG, and as such it isn't just a new electric sedan, it is a high-performance machine with exceptional power and accelerations. Here is everything you want to know about the all-new Mercedes-AMG EQE.
- The Mercedes-AMG EQE is the high-performance version of the upcoming electric version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It follows in the footsteps of the Mercedes-Benz EQS unveiled last year.
- The Mercedes-AMG EQE will offer up to 677 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque from a dual electric motor setup. This will be enough to reach 100 km per hour in just over three seconds.
- Range hasn't been confirmed on the EPA circuit, but Mercedes-Benz says the EQE will do between 444 km and 518 km on the WLTP circuit.
- It will have impressive charging capability thanks to its 90.6 kilowatt hour battery. This battery can add 180 kilometres of range in under 15 minutes.
- The new Mercedes-AMG EQE will feature multiple driving modes which adapt the amount of power sent to the wheels. In Slippery mode, for example, only 50% of the available torque reaches the wheels. In Race Mode with Boost, the EQE can send 110 per cent of its available power to the wheels for immediate and exceptional accelerations
- Handling will be just as good as the performance thanks to standard active rear steering.
- The Mercedes-AMG EQE will also feature an advanced suspension they can increase or lower the height of the vehicle for improved aerodynamics while adapting damping to the situation.
- It will also have an advanced energy recovery system which allows up to 260 kW to be regenerated through driving.
The new Mercedes-AMG EQE will arrive on the market towards the end of the year.
