Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control for Camper Vans

On the road with a completely networked home.
A networked home on the road. Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control (MBAC) converts the camper van into a smart home on wheels. MBAC is an interface module that eliminates the separation between the base vehicle and the living area. It networks the components in front of and behind the B pillar – enabling easy and convenient operation from one central location: either via the display in the cockpit or via an app in the living area.

Control the door locks, regulate the light or check the gas level in the gas tanks: in the future, all of this will be conveniently available via an app for camper vans based on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. In addition, all of the components can also be controlled from the vehicle’s cockpit via the MBUX touch display and a separate display in the living area which can be positioned wherever the body manufacturer desires. Control the water drain valves? Check the charge of the batteries? Set the temperature in the living area? Manage the sound system? The camper van of the future controls all of this and more via a single display.
Digital camping with the “Concept Marco Polo”.
The “Concept Marco Polo” shows which further options the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control has to offer. The concept vehicle is packed full of ground-breaking comfort features which are centrally controlled. A 3D model of the vehicle is shown in the app or on the integrated display. Is a window open? Is the door locked? This can all be handled from the comfort of a deck chair. The camper van’s awning can also be extended and retracted using the app or the integrated display. Both the refrigerator and the heating can also be managed using the control tool on a tablet or smartphone.
“Hey Mercedes, I would like to relax.”
The “Concept Marco Polo” from Mercedes-Benz listens when you speak. The concept vehicle responds to the “Hey Mercedes, I would like to relax” voice command by adjusting the vehicle level, extending the pop-up roof and awning, activates the ambient lighting integrated into the awning, the folding bellows and underneath the kitchenette and switches on the music. A 400 W solar module on the vehicle provides the electricity. Everything is ready for a relaxed start to the holiday.
